In June of 1995, ILC began assisting Pactel with the development of a set of web-based conferences for in-depth discussions of public policy issues around telecommunications. In addition to the point-and-click interface, users will be able to "subscribe" to a particular topic or an entire conference to receive postings in e-mail. This will allow someone to receive all new material posted without having to return to the web site.
Experts on all aspects of telecommunications public policy will be invited to roundtable discussions which members of the public can "listen in on." In addition, the public will be allowed to pose questions to the experts
and the experts will be able to question each other.
The site will be open to the public in the fall of 1995.
