Getting to the Command Line
Use the "Terminal" Application
Terminal is in Applications/Utilities.
Put the
Terminal application in your dock.
Other ways to get to the command line:
- Login to the Console by using the Name: >console in the login
window.
- Type logout to
exit the console and get back to the GUI login.
- Boot into single-user mode.
- Hold down the Apple
and s keys
during boot up.
